Steve Payne

Steve Payne: Songwriter / vocalist / producer / arranger has been variously described as "one of the UK's finest guitarists" and "one of rock's fallen ( but resurrected ) angels". After many years experience in the music business both in the UK and abroad Steve P is still recording and touring extensively.

His live performances in particular, both solo and with his newly reformed band 'Candy Run", have been described as ''the show to go to ' not to be missed ''.

The Doubtful Guest

With the combined winnings of Moles Battle of The Bands in 2004 and the Porter Cellar Bar's Battle of the Musos 2004, The Doubtful Guest recorded their debut album 'Volume Two' to the delight of the hundreds of dedicated fans who have already bought it.
Since then they have gigged extensively, playing at the Glastonbury Festival for the last three years running and the Trowbridge Pump Folk Festival twice as well as multiple appearances at other large festivals and venues across the country.
Along the way they've picked up support slots with such diverse acts as
Kimya Dawson, The Crazy World of Arthur Brown, Patricia Vonne, and most recently Josh Ritter and his band.

As well as everything else they’ve got going for them (tight, focused band, compelling frontman, superb whisky-soaked vocals and fantastic blues-rock tunes) they’re a prolific bunch, so there’s never any danger of seeing them run through the same set that you might have heard a few months earlier.
